ABOUT DLT DECLUTTERING

Danny Torrance founded DLT Decluttering with the goal to make supportive services for people experiencing hoarding behaviors and excessive clutter more available and accessible in the Philadelphia region and beyond. He has been an active member of the Philadelphia Hoarding Task force since 2015 and brings over 7 years’ experience working with people with disabilities at Philadelphia’s Center of Independent Living (CIL). He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, where he specialized in practices to help people cultivate their strengths, overcome challenges, and live happier and healthier lives.

In 2015, Danny completed his training in effective hoarding intervention from the Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership (now Metro Housing Boston). MHB’s innovative harm-reduction case management approach focuses on the person, not the stuff, and empowers clients to be active participants in the goal setting and sorting and discarding processes. This approach helps clients gain the tools and skills they need to successfully manage their clutter and has been shown to prevent 98% of evictions, support mental health and well-being, and lead to long-term change.

He believes that everyone deserves to live in a safe and accessible home; one that provides the opportunity to live with comfort and ease. He would love to help you create these conditions in your home! Send him a message by clicking on the contact tab, and feel free to ask him any questions. He looks forward to hearing from you!
